Palace Hotel Tokyo with Evian spa to open in May

Japan-based Palace Hotel Group is to open the 290-bedroom Palace Hotel Tokyo in the country’s capital on 17 May. Located within Tokyo’s Marunouchi district, the luxury hotel is to anchor a US$1.2bn (£751m, 918m euro) mixed-use development and will house 10 restaurants and bars, as well Japan’s first spa to be branded after Evian – the French mineral water company. Nikon exec drugs gal in Tokyo hotel, snatches underwear

Jetstar’s cheap fares lure Japanese visitors

JETSTAR’S Japan offshoot says it will shake up domestic travel in Japan and also provide a big boost to Australian inbound tourism. Jetstar Japan, which will begin flying from July 3, yesterday announced fares from as low as $46 linking Tokyo and Osaka, and said its everyday prices would be about half what customers were paying now.
